Tim Tams are Australia's signature awesome chocolate cookie. We discovered them on Contiki trip and have had them so many times since. I actually have a box at home! And I just ate one 2 seconds ago. Tim Tams are AMAZING!!! You should try them as a straw in a hot drink. Bite off one corner of the cookie then bite off the cady corner to it on the cookie. Prepare a hot drink (preferably Milo or hot chocolate) Put one of the bitten off corners of the Tim Tam in the drink and suck through the other corner. The drink will come through the cookie like a straw and will melt chocolate inside the cookie. Its so good, but you have to eat the cookie super fast or else it will dissentigrate into the drink. It's delicious! Also try the caramel Tim Tams. REALLY GOOD!!! They work really well with the hot drink thing.
Love them Tim Tams. Especially the caramels, although nothing quite compares to that first Original hitting my savoury palette. My love of Tim Tams extends so far that my friends have even imported numerous boxes for me! It's like the perfect gift any Aussie could give a Canadian. Equally, I suppose, we could return the favour with maple syrup.
